Mickael Blondeau

I’m a Backend Engineer with 12 years of experience designing, building, and operating production systems—from distributed backend services to container infrastructure, CI/CD platforms, and security hardening. I lead projects end-to-end, pairing backend development with production operations, including incident response and reliability work.

In platform and architecture roles, I drive technical standards, architecture decisions, and engineering culture across small teams, delivering 40+ projects for 10+ clients. I build and operate backend services and infrastructure using PHP/Symfony, implementing async messaging and real-time communication with RabbitMQ, Mercure, and Supervisor. I also design async data pipelines for high-volume imports/exports and use HTTP/application caching (Symfony Cache, Redis) plus distributed locking to improve performance and concurrency safety.

I’m especially strong at turning reliability needs into platform capability: I introduced and standardized CI/CD pipelines with automated testing, review gates, and fully automated releases. I deploy and maintain centralized observability (ELK, Zabbix), architect highly available container infrastructure for production workloads, and build internal control planes for configuration, secrets, volume provisioning, and deployment automation across many environments. Finally, I harden security by standardizing firewall rules, restricting access to required ports, and applying IP allowlisting while integrating third-party APIs and operational access tooling like Teleport.
