Michele Mormile

I am a PhD candidate in Experimental Particle Physics at Deutsches Elektronen-Synchrotron (DESY), Hamburg, and Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT). My research focuses on searches for rare processes involving the top quark and heavy bosons, leveraging state-of-the-art machine learning techniques to improve search sensitivity.

With a strong background in physics, I have a proven track record of developing and applying machine learning algorithms, including Deep Neural Networks, Graph Neural Networks, and Transformers. I am proficient in a range of programming languages, including Python, SQL, C++, and Fortran, and have experience with various software and tools, such as Git, LaTeX, Microsoft Office Suite, and ROOT.

In addition to my technical skills, I have a strong passion for scientific outreach and have participated in various outreach activities, including the Fermilab Italian Summer Student Program and the PONYS outreach activities at Fattorie Didattiche Aperte.
