What I'm looking for

I am looking for flexible freelance or remote opportunities where I can apply my academic background, language skills, and attention to detail. I am particularly interested in translation, academic proofreading, editing, and research-related projects in the fields of humanities, history, or education. I value projects that encourage learning, precision, and meaningful contribution.

I am a historian specializing in Medieval, Eastern European, Eurasian, and Byzantine studies, currently pursuing a Ph.D. in History. Alongside my academic research, I have professional experience in language services, including English-to-Turkish translation and academic proofreading.

My translation work includes the adaptation of the personal development book Life Messy, Live Happy into Turkish, and I have provided proofreading support for the academic publication The Anthropology of the Body and Modernity. I hold a C1-level English proficiency certificate (IELTS) and am comfortable working with academic, literary, and professional texts.

While my primary career path is academic research, I am open to freelance opportunities in translation, proofreading, and editing, particularly for academic or humanities-related projects. I bring strong analytical skills, attention to linguistic detail, and a deep understanding of cultural and historical contexts to every project I undertake.
