At West Chester University of Pennsylvania’s Early Childhood Cognition and Emotions Lab, I studied how racism, classism, and chronic stress affect children’s cognitive and emotional development at a local Head Start preschool. I independently assessed executive function using the Early Childhood Executive Functioning Battery.
I also conducted research assessing salivary cortisol and oxytocin, maintained participant confidentiality under Institutional Review Board guidelines, and wrote scientific article summaries. My literature reviews supported four graduate students’ master’s theses.
In the Social Psychology Lab, I completed 50 ethnographic data entries on unconventional alternatives to traditional therapy and developed a Qualtrics survey to streamline data collection. I earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from West Chester University of Pennsylvania, graduating summa cum laude.
