I’m seeking a role where I can apply my experience in biotechnology product management, science education, research, and communication. I enjoy learning, solving problems, explaining complex ideas, and helping people succeed. I’m especially interested in remote opportunities with part-time, contract, or flexible schedules, meaningful work, and compensation that reflects my experience.

Melinda Gold
@melindagold
Biotech product manager, science educator, and published researcher translating complex ideas into practical solutions.
What I'm looking for
My career connects science, business, and education. Across 14 years in biotechnology product management with Eppendorf, Artel, and Advanced Instruments, I developed scientific content, customer education, product demonstrations, and sales training that translated complex concepts into practical value.
I now teach as a substitute and long-term science teacher, including biology, biodiversity, and chemistry, and develop lessons and assessments for varied learning needs. Earlier, I taught at The Chapin School, tutored physics, and mentored high school researchers through gene expression and cell culture projects, scientific writing, and competition preparation.
I hold a PhD in Public Health with a research focus in molecular biology and a BS in Computer Science. I am completing an MEd in Secondary Education and have authored or coauthored 11 scientific papers under Melinda Sheehan or Melinda H. Sheehan.
