Maurizio Carboni

After two years working at Revel, I moved into the Lead Engineer position. In this position I oversee the design, development, and implementation of software that helps other teams to work with our micro-frontends architecture, the team with my guidance is responsible for defining best practices, testing strategies, creating and supporting internal tools, and managing the infrastructure.

I started working for Revel after moving to Lithuania. My day-to-day job initially consisted of developing new features, getting rid of tech debt, and mentoring less experienced engineers. After I proposed a new frontend architecture my job started shifting into designing, implementing, and maintaining the tools and architecture to make micro-frontends possible. And finally into managing a team.

My job responsibilities didn't change from Moneyfarm in the UK.

At Moneyfarm, my job responsibility is to provide the best possible experience for the customers of the Moneyfarm webapp. I accomplished this responsibility in 3 ways:
1. By improving the tech stack the frontend team uses.
2. Creating metrics where missing, and adding tools to monitor those metrics
3. Contributing to the Frontend code, by creating new functionalities and refactor existing ones

At Amazon, my main requirement was to show a day-to-day use of the leadership principles, these principles focused on acting as the perfect developer with a high focus on the consumer. During my day-to-day job I designed, implemented and deployed software components(microservices); and solved difficult problems. All the code I wrote was always of high quality.

On RedAnt my primary Job is to write and maintain Apps for their clients, these apps are usually hybrid apps developed using Cordova in a CI environment.
Sometimes in the case, the App is built from scratch, I have the job to study the architecture for that App. This includes choosing which technologies and the logic behind the backend.
