What I'm looking for

I’m looking for a role where I can lead data-driven research and analytics—using statistical methods and visualization to produce clear insights that support policy and organization decisions, with room to publish, collaborate, and keep research ethics at the core.

I’m a graduate with a Master of Science in Applied statistics and seven years hands-on data analytics experience across research and policy development. I’m passionate about turning data into information, insight, and organization decisions, with a strong interest in data visualization that makes complex datasets approachable.

In my current role as an External Researcher–Research Supervisor at the National Crime Research Centre, I lead and oversee research projects on crime trends, causes, and prevention strategies. I design research methodologies, guide data collection to ensure accuracy and ethical compliance, analyze crime data using statistical software (SPSS, Stata, or R), and translate findings into reports and evidence-based recommendations for government, policymakers, and law enforcement.

Previously, I’ve strengthened policy research at KIPPRA through objective policy analysis, capacity building, and development of research proposals, blogs, discussion papers, and policy briefs. I’ve also supported public health and surveillance work at Kenya Medical Research Institute–Wellcome Trust, worked as a Data Analyst at Mwananchi Credit Limited, and served as a Part Time Lecturer at Laikipia University—bringing strong analytical depth, research rigor, and clear communication to every engagement.
