At Kenya Medical Research Institute (KEMRI), I performed malaria and parasite microscopy, DNA extraction, RT-PCR, GeneXpert testing, and immunological assays during my research attachment.
I also supported sample reception and archiving, evaluated insecticide-treated nets, and followed biosafety procedures while working with infectious samples and supporting animal-house experiments.
At KPMG Kenya, I automated tax data workflows with Python and advanced Excel functions, reducing reporting errors. I also analyzed financial discrepancies and visualized audit trends using Power BI.
As an Undergraduate Laboratory Trainee at the University of Nairobi, Department of Biochemistry, I have worked with PCR, ELISA, Western blotting, enzyme assays, and chromatography. My academic research project examined the bactericidal activity of a Catharanthus roseus leaf extract against Helicobacter pylori.
