I conduct orchestras and teach conducting, music theory, strings, and applied instrumental studies across university and community music programs.
At the University of Nebraska–Lincoln, I serve as instructor of record for the Nebraska Campus Orchestra and Strings Skills, teach music theory, and work with the Symphony Orchestra. I have also taught conducting and theory at the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley, and led guitar, violin, viola, string orchestra, accessible music, and symphonic orchestra instruction with Costa Rica's SiNEM National Music Education Program.
I've appeared as a guest conductor with university, youth, and community ensembles, served as an orchestra music librarian, conducted recordings, and composed for soloists, chamber ensembles, choir, strings, harp, and electronics. My doctoral work is a critical edition of “El Libertador,” a symphonic poem by Costa Rican composer Julio Mata Oreamuno.
