Magdalene Bate Ebot
@magdalenebateebot
Emergency and WASH program management expert with 9+ years delivering humanitarian projects and guidance.
What I'm looking for
I bring over 9 years’ experience in program and project management across humanitarian response, with a strong focus on emergency response, WASH, NFI, food security and livelihoods, and multi-sectoral needs assessment and evaluation. I’m detail-oriented, comfortable working under pressure, and I communicate clearly to coordinate teams and stakeholders in diverse cultural settings.
In my current role as Emergency Response Expert at Welthungerhilfe, I plan, manage, and implement projects across the full cycle—from needs assessment and proposal development to implementation and procurement when needed. I also introduce and implement international standards (including CHS and Sphere) and WHH minimum requirements, support donor-aligned grant development, and help strengthen preparedness through Emergency Preparedness & Response Planning (EPReP) and related training, including greening and sustainability approaches.
Previously, as WASH Sector Advisor, I developed technical guidance for mission personnel and implementing partners, supported strategic work plans with measurable targets, and reviewed plans, M&E documents, and quarterly reporting to improve progress and quality. Earlier, as WASH Coordinator and WASH Technical Supervisor with NRC and CRS, I managed portfolios, budgets, and field teams, ensured technical quality of WASH infrastructure, built water management committees, and applied evidence-based approaches like PHAST for sanitation.
