Jato Clifford

I lead protection and inclusion programmes in Cameroon, delivering GBV, child protection, safeguarding, and community-based response in conflict-affected settings.

At VAIA, I lead two multi-sectoral projects, supervise eight staff, and coordinate field operations across communities. I secured international funding for disability inclusion and digital wellbeing initiatives reaching more than 1,500 beneficiaries.

With Plan International Cameroon, I coordinated ECHO-funded protection activities reaching more than 2,000 vulnerable people and strengthened referral pathways with NGOs and government actors. I also managed sponsorship services for 1,000 children and delivered community sensitization reaching more than 3,000 people.

Across more than eight years of field work, I have supported over 6,000 beneficiaries, trained frontline workers, produced RBM-aligned donor reports, and improved protection systems. I hold an MSc in Social Work and conduct applied research on GBV in Bamenda.
