At TriTech Institute, NHS, I completed the NHS Scientist Training Programme in Clinical Scientific Computing, working with a multidisciplinary clinical research and evaluation team on digital tools for NHS clinical applications. I trained in developing software as a medical device and worked within NHS information governance, quality management and clinical safety frameworks.
My research includes a hybrid Monte Carlo and discrete event simulation of an NHS cancer diagnostic pathway, verified with automated tests and validated against clinical data. I also built an interactive R Shiny application to help clinicians explore skin light-penetration simulation data, and have published research in biomedical optics, photobiology and computational modelling.
