At Anglia Ruskin University, I teach and supervise across events, management, marketing, digital business and sustainability. My research examines event impact and evaluation, including visitor behaviour and the regulation and planning of event spaces.
Through projects supported by Innovate UK, EIT Food, ERDF and Interreg, I’ve led or contributed to more than £1.5 million of externally funded research and innovation. My work includes supporting enterprises with decarbonisation and studying barriers to digital technology adoption among small firms.
As Director of Research and Funding at the Centre for Events & Festivals and Associate Editor of Event Management, I develop research and funding activity and contribute to the field’s published work. I also supervise postgraduate and doctoral research and support research ethics and integrity at Anglia Ruskin University.
