Lena Retao

I’m a dedicated English educator with over six years of teaching experience in upper primary education. I teach English (Grades 4–7) while also delivering English and Oshikwanyama instruction, guided by clear communication and strong organization.

I’m experienced in curriculum planning, lesson planning, and assessment design, including examinations, worksheets, marking guides, and constructive feedback. I maintain learner records, prepare academic reports, and communicate regularly with parents regarding learner progress.

Beyond classroom teaching, I tutor part-time as a self-employed tutor, providing personalized lessons in reading, writing, grammar, vocabulary, comprehension, and speaking. I develop customized lesson plans, track learner progress, and prepare learners for tests and examinations.

I also contribute through leadership and content creation—serving as English Subject Head, English Cluster Facilitator, and founder/coach of the English Club, plus netball and volleyball coaching. I integrate technology into instruction and am comfortable collaborating with colleagues and remote teams.
