What I'm looking for

I’m looking to continue instructional coaching that strengthens literacy outcomes. I want to collaborate with teachers through observations, planning support, and PD—using data, interventions (RTI/benchmarks), and practical classroom tech to improve student achievement.

I’m an experienced educator with “Over 10 years teaching experience in Title 1 urban school settings.” I bring deep expertise in literacy instruction, including “Experience teaching workshop model classroom (reader/writer workshop),” standards-based planning, and supporting “English Language Learners” and “Special Education co-teaching models.” I’ve also taught high school students with reading levels significantly below grade level.

As an Instructional Coach, I’ve “worked closely with teachers to help them improve their practice through observations, one on one meetings, planning assistance, and department instructional focus meetings.” In my recent role, I “Coordinated benchmark testing (NWEA) as well as state testing for building (OST),” advised in developing a school improvement plan, and helped with “building behavior management.” I also support PD and best practices, including “use of Peardeck as well as Magic AI for schools.”

Earlier in my career, I led instruction across middle and high school English (grades 7-12), including converting “100% online to blended curriculum” and planning around “common core” and Ohio State Standards. I also have strong intervention and enrichment experience, from RTI work and reading interventions to “Gifted and Talented Building Coordinator” responsibilities, plus summer creative writing instruction in workshop settings. I’m proud to have “Winner Teacher of the Year Summit Academy Dayton 2014-2015 School Year” and recognized contributions across leadership and innovation.
