Designed Billabex's TypeScript/Nx platform across Next.js 15, NestJS, Fastify, GraphQL, DynamoDB, and AWS, unifying frontend, backend, AI agents, and infrastructure. Led the 2025 redesign from invoice-centric workflows to customer-account cases, aligning invoices, contacts, balances, communications, tasks, and AI context around one shared financial domain model.

Directed GitLab.com database decomposition by separating Main and CI workloads after CI reached 48.98% of writes, helping reduce PostgreSQL contention and create clearer production boundaries. Improved database headroom as post-split vacuum saturation fell from about 80% average to 15%, while Sidekiq PgBouncer query duration improved by at least 5x after safer connections scaling.

Accelerated Gitaly fetch paths and pack-object caching, reducing benchmark runtime from 27s to 7.5s and average server CPU from 100% to 40% under 20 simultaneous shallow clone workloads. Redesigned Git data transport between Workhorse and Gitaly with Unix sockets and Yamux streams, helping remove legacy pre-clone infrastructure while preserving authentication and metrics.

Introduced PSD2 Strong Customer Authentication across web and mobile using PIN, biometrics, and device possession to secure sensitive login, account access, and outgoing payment operations. Established PSD2 AIS/PIS API controls with JWT, eIDAS certificates, RSA-SHA256 signatures, 2048-bit keys, and consent-aware authorization for regulated third-party financial providers.

Streamlined KYC onboarding through the IDnow API and mobile SDK, reducing identity verification from 1–3 working days to a few minutes while preserving regulated compliance checks. Created full-stack features across Python, Django, PostgreSQL, AWS, and AngularJS for business banking workflows spanning payments, KYC, invoicing, expenses, receipts, and account data.
