I translate English and Tamil documents across legal, medical, and official contexts, with experience at the Lanka Monitoring Agency, World Bank Sri Lanka, and the Legal Draftsman’s Department.
At the Legal Draftsman’s Department, I translated Constitutions, Acts, Incorporations, Establishments, and Amendments, learning to apply country-specific legal rules and terminology. I also worked as a sworn translator and provided interpretation support for colleagues.
My academic work includes translating and analyzing the medical book Stomach Ulcer from English to Tamil, focusing on reader-friendly techniques, strategies, and methods. I also wrote an annual-magazine article about the role of translation in media.
I bring cultural awareness, research, proofreading, creative writing, and strong written communication to language services. I’m currently studying for a Master of Arts in International Relations.
