Rolled out a sensitivity and data labeling solution across the enterprise and retired the legacy labeling tool. Managed the area's $30M+ 2024 budget and delivered realized savings of $4.1M (2024).

Advised on sensitive data security and conducted information risk assessments for new technologies within the USAA enterprise environment. Consulted across the enterprise on security risks aligned with strategic direction.

Led data loss prevention (DLP) discovery, implementation, and alignment with NIST controls; developed DLP policies. Managed user acceptance testing (UAT) and IOC packages for the DLP workstream.

Built the data classification structure and helped define enterprise and system data architecture for the DLP framework; formulated DLP policies and standards.

Led the DBA team supporting RIMS and FAPIIS compliance reporting; designed Oracle databases and Java applications. Established auditing policies for data security and STIG compliance.

Monitored and troubleshot SQL Server Enterprise and DB2 databases for uptime; established database management, security, and maintenance policies. Built SQL and SSRS reports, including antivirus agent and SCCM reporting.
