At Indraprastha Institute of Information Technology, Delhi (IIIT-Delhi), I developed a profile-HMM pipeline to map human Pfam domain families across gut bacterial proteins. I analyzed 2.64M filtered homology hits and identified 1,510 shared human protein domains.
I characterized functional and phylogenetic patterns in the data, including enrichment in drug-metabolism and immune-pathway domains. I also applied a three-stage evidence-filtering framework to narrow anomalous candidates for further investigation and prepared circular phylogenetic visualizations in iTOL.
Earlier, as a Laboratory Intern at Rapture Biotech, I extracted DNA and RNA from plant tissue and bacterial cultures, prepared samples for mass spectrometry, and assisted with qPCR gene-expression experiment design. My research toolkit includes R, Python, Perl, and bioinformatics methods for sequence and structural analysis.
