Juan Angel Gamez Diaz

I’m a Physics Engineer from EAFIT University specialized in Data Science, with strong experience in machine learning, computer vision, and scientific computing. I turn complex physical and mathematical problems into scalable computational solutions.

I bring analytical rigor and applied experience in predictive modeling, multispectral imaging, and quantitative analysis. My toolkit combines Python with statistical modeling and optimization techniques to build reliable, interpretable workflows.

During my Data Science / Computer Vision Intern experience at Humath®, I designed and deployed a VIS–NIR land-cover classification pipeline using UAV multispectral imagery and spectral preprocessing. I processed 30,000+ multispectral images with modular Python pipelines and used clustering and separability metrics to improve spectral interpretability across heterogeneous datasets.

My projects reflect this focus: a GAN-based retinal image super-resolution pipeline, liquidity risk forecasting models for credit utilization time series, multispectral analysis with object detection support, and Markowitz mean–variance portfolio optimization under constrained scenarios. I’m also a Recipient of Generation E Scholarship and I’m pursuing an Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) certification (expected Jun 2026).
