Carlos Andres Velez Gonzalez
@carlosandresvelezgon
Data Scientist and Physical Engineer delivering AI and cloud automation for predictive, high-impact decisions.
What I'm looking for
I’m a Physical Engineer and M.Sc. in Physics who turns data science and artificial intelligence into operational results. I design, deploy, and monitor intelligent, machine-learning-based, and serverless solutions—especially with Microsoft Azure—and I build predictive models that support better decision-making in complex environments.
In my recent work, I automate end-to-end ML pipelines to predict extraction costs by combining mining truck GPS telemetry, historical SAP financial data, and topographic files. I also build outage prediction solutions using OMS (HxGN InService) data and weather forecast APIs, integrate Azure OpenAI to generate analyses for technical management, and streamline workflows by automating reporting in Power BI and developing internal web applications that reduce field report time by 45 minutes daily.
