I’m a Software Engineer with 5 years of experience delivering scalable backend and cloud-based solutions, with a strong background in AWS, system design, data processing, and high-availability architectures. At MercadoLibre, I refactored the core service handling Mercado Pago’s homepage traffic (3,000 requests/sec), reducing P95 latency from 150ms to 85ms (43%) and eliminating frequent timeouts while maintaining a 200ms SLA. I also introduced Strategy and Repository patterns under hexagonal architecture principles, transforming a highly coupled codebase (where minor changes impacted 20+ files) into a modular, extensible system that enabled parallel development.

I’ve led major data and messaging improvements as well: re-architecting a business-critical ETL pipeline on 370M+ record tables to cut execution time by 83% (12min → <2min) and memory usage by 98% (14GB → 300MB), and building a scalable API layer for transactional emails using distributed messaging (SQS, RabbitMQ) with up to 4000 TPS and 30M+ daily requests.
