I’m an AI Engineer and Senior Data Scientist with 8+ years of experience in the banking sector, focused on delivering production-grade Machine Learning systems at scale. I specialize in credit risk modeling, AML detection, recommendation systems, and end-to-end MLOps that teams can run reliably in production.

In my recent work, I designed AI system architectures for government-scale data platforms and built production ML pipelines for public labor market data. I also implemented DevSecOps practices (security scanning, secrets management, IaC) and integrated microservices via Docker and CI/CD (Jenkins, GitHub Actions) to support secure, repeatable releases.

Previously at a top Peruvian bank, I built AML risk scoring models used for regulatory compliance (10M+ customers), achieving Gini coefficients above 60% across production scorecards. I also developed propensity/scoring models and recommendation models for cross-sell and upsell—improving targeting precision and campaign conversion—while deploying on AWS SageMaker with real-time inference endpoints, monitoring, and drift control.

I build modern GenAI solutions too: hands-on RAG pipelines and LLM-powered APIs, including hybrid retrieval (BM25 + FAISS), cross-encoder reranking, and LLM-as-judge evaluation. Alongside my work, I’m completing a Master’s in Artificial Intelligence (UNI, 2023–2025) and have published research (Neurology International, 2024), while also teaching ML to 100+ students per cohort through practical, deployment-focused coursework.
