What I'm looking for

I’m looking for a role where I can apply machine learning and data science to biological/clinical questions—developing, evaluating, and explaining models in Python/R—ideally within a research-driven team focused on real-world impact.

I’m a PhD student in Computer Science with a background in Big Data and Artificial Intelligence. I build computational methods for biological problems, grounded in my bachelor’s and master’s theses, and I’m especially interested in data science and AI that can translate into measurable insights.

In my Predoctoral Researcher role at the University of Murcia, I develop and evaluate AI methods for computer science applied to biology and mental health, working on data processing and experimental analysis in Python and R. I’ve also contributed to computational biology projects and publications, and I’ve built end-to-end systems like biomedical RAG with PubMedBERT fine-tuning and ontology mapping, plus anomaly/contradiction detection pipelines using classical ML, SHAP, and reproducible reporting.
