Jorge Victor Padilla Villalón

I've delivered telecommunications infrastructure projects at ETECSA, Cuba's national telecommunications company, managing investments from planning through delivery while supporting on-time, on-budget execution.

In ETECSA's Investments Department, I validated budgets, material data, and investment orders in SAP; coordinated hardware and software procurement; analyzed costs; and prepared KPI reports tracking milestones and expenditures. I also coordinated multidisciplinary teams to balance workloads and keep planned activities moving.

Earlier in Operations, I designed preventive maintenance programs for copper and fiber-optic telephone networks, monitored performance, escalated critical incidents, and led field maintenance and installation teams. I also taught Telecommunications Networks I remotely at the University of Oriente, creating course materials and supervising engineering projects and theses.

I'm currently pursuing a Master's in Electronics and Communication Engineering at Kocaeli University. At the 2026 BASE 41 Hackathon, my team earned third place for YazmaAI, an AI-powered Turkish writing assistant that corrects, scores, and provides feedback on Turkish texts.
