I'm teaching 10th-grade English at Spaulding High School, creating curriculum, materials, and assessments centered on high-quality literature, critical thinking, analysis, and research.
Previously, I taught upper-school English at Nansemond-Suffolk Academy and English in Houston-area public schools, serving students in grades 9–12 through AP English Language and Composition, Pre-AP courses, and reader’s/writer’s workshop instruction. I've differentiated curriculum for diverse learners, including ELL students, led advisory groups, and supported students through SEL, mental health, college-search, and remediation work.
I've also served as an AP Reader, English II team lead, acting English Department Chair, and Book Love Foundation Grant recipient. I bring an M.Ed. in Reading and a lasting passion for literacy and creative writing.
