Madi Kalafut

As an English Language Arts Teacher at Mount Auburn Preparatory Academy, I have transformed my approach to education by discovering innovative ways to engage students. My commitment to building genuine rapport with my students has not only fostered trust but has also significantly enhanced their learning experiences. I believe in the power of individualized lessons and strive to create an inclusive environment where every student feels valued and motivated to succeed.

My previous role as a Long-Term Substitute at Garfield Middle School allowed me to work closely with students in various settings, from whole-class instruction to one-on-one support. This experience reinforced my belief in the importance of personalized education and helped me develop effective classroom management strategies. I take pride in my ability to adapt my teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of my students, ensuring that they remain engaged and excited about learning.

In addition to my teaching career, I am also an author, having published my first novel, a collection of poetry. My academic background in Integrated English Language Arts, coupled with minors in Music Performance and English Literature, has equipped me with a unique perspective that I bring into the classroom. I am passionate about connecting with my students through various mediums and addressing the unseen challenges they face.
