Jessica Ponder

I’m a dynamic school administrator with 17 years of experience across private and public education, currently serving as Assistant Principal at Sacred Heart School in Florissant. I’ve managed 35 staff members and 430 PK3–8th grade students, led school-wide initiatives including Reading and Math curriculum selection, and strengthened support systems through the CARE team model and a schoolwide behavior framework. I’m especially energized by the opportunity to apply my leadership and instructional background to virtual education.

As an education leader, I’ve handled admissions, tours, and campus marketing, and I led website and app development through our SIS system. I also contributed to student outcomes by familiarizing teachers with benchmark and progress monitoring tools and supported inclusion efforts through grant writing for a new Inclusion Program with One Classroom. Earlier roles—Home and School Coordinator, Reading Specialist, and elementary teaching—shaped my belief in effective communication, social emotional learning, and reliable, student-centered leadership.
