At Utah Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratory, I lead implementation and validation of molecular diagnostic assays, support additional assay implementations, and manage validation of new assays. I also develop and maintain SOPs and quality systems that support reliable testing, regulatory compliance, and accreditation.
I work with laboratory personnel and the Utah Department of Agriculture and Food to improve diagnostic workflows, including during high-volume testing and animal disease outbreaks. I analyze operational data for annual reporting and accreditation documentation, and train laboratory technicians and a student employee in molecular diagnostic procedures and quality practices.
