What I'm looking for

I'm looking to lead or contribute to equitable literacy, disability, and community-engaged research initiatives where I can combine clinical practice, teaching, advocacy, partnership building, and systems-level program development.

I've led early-literacy research at UNC Chapel Hill and built ReadENC from a collective-impact initiative into an independent 501(c)(3), securing $350K net in first-year funding. My work examines children’s literature, disability, bookgifting, and equitable literacy practices through critical, community-engaged research.

As a speech-language pathologist at Duke University Medical Center and across pediatric, school, and adult rehabilitation settings, I've evaluated and treated diverse communication needs while coaching hundreds of caregivers. I also design and teach courses, mentor emerging researchers, and bring relational leadership, advocacy, grant writing, and cross-sector partnership building to work that helps communities create meaningful access to literacy.
