What I'm looking for

I'm seeking opportunities that combine translational medicine, microbiome research, bioinformatics, and clinical experience, where I can contribute reproducible analyses, scientific communication, and patient-centered work.

I've led microbiome research projects at Brigham Young University, including machine-learning analysis of gut microbiome co-occurrence networks to predict irritable bowel syndrome and industrial anaerobic digestion research.

My work has contributed to publications in BioTech, Harmful Algae, Water Science & Technology, and an accepted Freshwater Biology paper. I have presented microbiome and ecological research at ASM Microbe Health, AGU, ISME, and BYU research events.

I'm continuing my training through an M.D. program at Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine and a Graduate Certificate in Research in Translational Medicine. My bioinformatics capstone, Beyond V4, applies a pangenomic approach to 16S rRNA species classification with RADSuite.

Alongside research, I've supported patients as a medical assistant and medical scribe, taught biology labs, managed laboratory work, and provided IT support. I bring experience in scientific writing, reproducible analysis, clinical documentation, and patient communication.
