I've spent more than 15 years at Makaha Elementary School creating engaging lesson plans for Grades 1–6 and building strong classroom communities for 25+ students.

I’ve managed grade-level funds to support academically aligned activities for 60+ students, collaborated on a district-wide math curriculum aligned with Common Core standards, and analyzed student data to support academic gains for 30%–50% of students.

I’ve also led grade-level teams of two to three teachers, aligning instructional strategies with school goals and maintaining accurate student-progress records.

I care deeply about open communication with parents, teachers, and administrators, and bring Japanese fluency, educational technology familiarity, and a growth-minded approach to education. Outside the classroom, I volunteer with Willamette Writers, hosting writers online and in person.
