I’m a Software Engineer with 1+ year of professional experience, primarily focused on backend development and building reliable, scalable software. At HSBC, I worked on a production banking platform where I designed and developed Java 17 and Vert.x-based REST APIs and microservices, worked with MS SQL, and collaborated with frontend, QA, and backend teams to deliver customer-facing features. I also worked on production troubleshooting, root cause analysis, system reliability, automated testing, and Jenkins-based CI/CD. One of my key contributions was removing a single point of failure from a user-view flow, while another improved automated test coverage across 35 microservices from 50% to 85%.
My core technical interests are backend engineering, distributed systems, microservices, system design, and building reliable production software. I work primarily with Java, Spring Boot, Vert.x, REST APIs, SQL, Kafka, Docker, JUnit, Mockito, Git, and Jenkins. I also enjoy solving algorithmic problems and have completed 500+ Data Structures and Algorithms problems, which has strengthened my approach to breaking down complex problems and designing efficient solutions.
Alongside backend engineering, I have a strong interest in AI and GenAI. I’ve built projects involving LLM agents, personalized recommendations, MCP-based tool integration, API integrations, and conversational applications. For example, I built MealMate, an LLM-powered application that uses user preferences to personalize recommendations and integrates an MCP server for an end-to-end grocery workflow. I also built a portfolio management platform using Spring Boot, Kafka, Docker, and external market-data APIs.
I’m particularly interested in opportunities where I can work on challenging engineering problems, build products used by real users, and continue growing across backend systems, distributed systems, and AI-powered software. I’m looking for a team where I can take ownership, learn quickly, and contribute meaningfully to both the technical quality and reliability of the product.
