I’m a bioinformatician with hands-on experience in NGS data analysis, pipeline development, and computational genomics. I build automated workflows using Nextflow, Python, and Linux to analyze and interpret genetic and epigenetic variants.

In my current role as a Research Assistant- Bioinformatics in the Rare Genetic Disorders Division, I analyze sequencing data and develop automated pipelines to identify clinically relevant variants, focusing on neuromuscular genetic disorders. I’ve analyzed NGS datasets for genetic and epigenetic mutations, built tools to score noncoding variants, and helped standardize NGS long-read sequencing protocols for ONT technologies.

Earlier, I supported protein engineering and computational simulation work—conducting protein expression experiments in Escherichia coli, applying mutagenesis for directed evolution, and running molecular dynamics simulations to evaluate protein structure-function impacts. I bring a research-driven, translational mindset, and I’m motivated by roles that challenge my knowledge and help me contribute to both the organization and society through translational research.
