Gérald Coulis
@graldcoulis
Dynamic immunologist with expertise in immune cell-based functional assays.
What I'm looking for
I am a dedicated immunologist with over 5 years of academic experience, specializing in immune cell-based functional assays. My work at the UCI Institute for Immunology has allowed me to investigate the role of regulatory T cells in muscular dystrophy, providing critical insights into T cell differentiation during muscle inflammation. I have collaborated with cross-functional teams to elucidate muscle macrophage functions and their impact on immune responses, spearheading the immunophenotyping of immune cell markers essential for high-dimensional flow cytometry analysis.
Throughout my career, I have developed a strong foundation in both in vitro and ex vivo assay development, with hands-on experience working with human cell lines and tissue cell isolation. My research has contributed to a deeper understanding of autoimmune mechanisms and potential therapeutic targets for cardiac diseases. I am passionate about drug discovery and eager to learn and apply new technologies, aiming to contribute to innovative research and product development in the field of immunology.
