Aspiring Child Life Specialist dedicated to supporting pediatric patients.
What I'm looking for
I am a dedicated and passionate individual currently pursuing a Master's degree in Child Life and Family Centered Care at Boston University. My academic journey has been enriched by my undergraduate studies at Syracuse University, where I graduated Magna Cum Laude with degrees in Human Development & Family Science and Public Health. My commitment to child advocacy and support has driven me to seek certification as a Child Life Specialist, where I can make a meaningful impact in the lives of children and their families.
Throughout my experiences, I have had the privilege of working in various roles that emphasize my dedication to child welfare. As an Office Assistant at Student Outreach and Support, I have honed my communication skills, ensuring that students receive the support they need. My internship at the Children’s Advocacy Center allowed me to assist in forensic interviews, advocating for pediatric survivors of violence. Additionally, my practicum at Upstate Golisano Children's Hospital provided me with hands-on experience in therapeutic play and emotional support for pediatric patients.
I believe in the power of community and collaboration, as demonstrated through my involvement in organizations like OttoTHON Dance Marathon and RISE: Refugee and Immigrants Self-Empowerment. My goal is to continue to grow in a role that allows me to support children and families, fostering an environment of healing and resilience.
