Gonzalo Miranda
@gonzalomiranda
Neuroscience researcher at Georgia State University studying cortical vascular morphology and developing preclinical imaging and analysis workflows.
What I'm looking for
At Georgia State University Neuroscience Institute, I investigate how early-life resource scarcity affects adult cortical vascular morphology using immunohistochemistry, confocal microscopy, and Imaris 3D reconstruction. I also develop image-analysis and neuroimaging workflows for preclinical diffusion MRI and human fMRI datasets.
At Bio-Techne, I supported Cultrex Basement Membrane Extract production and iPSC-related applications; redesigned production workflows that reduced batch failure rates from 54% to 0% over 14 months. My earlier research at Tufts University explored biomaterials and tissue repair, including silk scaffolds, collagen hydrogels, and computational modeling of fear conditioning.

Project: Inter-Neuronal Gama Oscillation Modelling of Fear Conditioning in the Amygdala
Investigated neurological pathway mapping of fear conditioning in the amygdala based on inter-neural Gamma oscillation analysis. Analyzed data from mice via neuroimaging and amygdala slice culture spectrogram for use in mapping out fear signature conditioning pathway(s) through the feedback network regions.
