Gianna Ellaine Velasco

I’m a Registered Civil Engineer with 2+ years of experience in quantity surveying during the tendering stage for high-rise and low-rise construction projects. I help teams produce competitive tender submissions that stay aligned with client budgets.

In my current role as a Jr. Design and Cost Engineer, I prepare Excel-based quantity take-offs for civil, structural, and architectural works. I review bid and tender drawings to quantify items based on scope, then support the preparation of tender submittals such as drawing lists and technical qualifications.

I’m also responsible for preparing quotation packages and evaluating subcontractor and supplier quotes to support bid pricing and cost optimization. I consolidate estimated quantities for running cost determination, monitor estimate progress, and coordinate with sourcing to track quotations and ensure timely submissions.

Previously, as a Project-in-Charge, I coordinated with clients to clarify requirements, monitored site progress, assisted in resolving site issues, and supported billing through weekly accomplishment reporting. I’m highly organized, detail-oriented, and proficient with Bluebeam and Excel, alongside Planswift, to produce accurate estimates.
