@georgiawright
Empathetic neurodiversity learning coach and trainee school counsellor.
I am seeking a role that allows me to support emotional wellbeing in a collaborative environment, focusing on trauma-informed care and holistic approaches.
I am an empathetic and committed counsellor with a strong foundation in psychology and over five years of experience supporting children and adolescents with special educational needs (SEN) and social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs. I recently completed a Level 7 Postgraduate Diploma in Counselling, gaining clinical experience in delivering person-centred and psychodynamic therapy to young people in a school-based setting. My skills include risk assessment, safeguarding, and building therapeutic relationships with clients facing a range of emotional and psychological challenges.
Currently, I am working as a Trainee School Counsellor at Holland Park School, where I provide weekly integrative counselling sessions for secondary and sixth form students. I address various presentations, including anxiety, depression, OCD, and school refusal, while conducting safeguarding and risk assessments. Additionally, as a Neurodiversity Learning Coach, I offer 1:1 and group wellbeing support to Year 7 pupils, focusing on building trusting relationships and creating emotionally safe spaces.
My previous experience as a Pastoral Support Worker and SEN Teaching Assistant has equipped me with the ability to deliver tailored support to pupils with SEN, SEMH, and EAL needs. I have collaborated with external professionals to ensure holistic care for students with complex needs, and I am dedicated to early intervention and trauma-informed care to support the wellbeing of children and young people.
