At KPMG in East Africa, I lead cross-border finance transformation, accounting, and actuarial advisory work for financial institutions, regulators, boards, and state-owned entities. I have designed IPO readiness frameworks for Ethiopian financial institutions and supported World Bank-backed IPO readiness programmes through equity story development.
I've delivered IFRS conversion, governance, and reporting transformation across East Africa and beyond. My work includes implementing IFRS 9 for 17 Ethiopian banks, leading first-time IFRS adoption for Ethiopia's largest bank, and guiding boards and executive teams through compliance reforms and future-ready finance operating models.
I bring practical value through finance automation and process reengineering, including tax reconciliation processes that generated US$5M in savings for a leading brewery conglomerate. I have introduced CaseWare and AARO reporting automation and worked with SAP Finance, Oracle Financials, Sage ERP, Power BI, and Tableau.
I've partnered remotely with teams in India, South Africa, Mexico, the UK, the US, and Sweden, while mentoring consultants and managers across multi-country engagements.
