At The Brief, I report and write original news stories about Armenian public-interest topics, with an emphasis on original sourcing and AP style.
As a Student Reporter at American University of Armenia, I covered Armenia’s proposed IMEI mobile phone registry, student sleep and academic performance, and traffic congestion in Yerevan. My traffic story scored 98/100 for balanced sourcing and organization.
I’ve interviewed students, teachers, healthcare and transportation professionals, and university career staff, and designed and analyzed a 70-respondent student survey. I also produced the photo story “A Life in Four Walls,” which scored 94/100.
At Iguan Systems, I write client-facing marketing proposals, translating technical scope and deliverables into clear language for different audiences. I’m pursuing a Master of Arts in Multiplatform Journalism at American University of Armenia.
