What I'm looking for

I take contract work, part-time or fixed scope, 10 to 30 hours a week: AI-assisted full-stack delivery, agent and LLM integration, migrations on regulated systems. Java and Spring Boot, React and TypeScript, Node and NestJS, AWS and Kubernetes; Claude Code daily, MCP servers and agent tooling of my own. Beirut, UTC+3: a full day with Europe and the Gulf, mornings with US Eastern.

I am a software engineer specialising in regulated systems: insurance, banking and government.

Health insurance. 19 months on the team that modernised a monolithic claims application with an embedded rules engine onto a BPM platform and reactive Spring WebFlux microservices on Kubernetes. My own focus was the migration work and the test suite, which reached 90% coverage and cut post-deployment defects by 60%.

Government and digital identity. I led a team of five building a national digital identity card for the Lawyers Syndicate of Lebanon, combining e-wallet, fee payment and access control on a single credential. 15,000+ users at 99.9% uptime.

Satellite telecom. Re-architected a network monitoring tool on a fully reactive stack: 40% better responsiveness under load, with a terabyte-scale telemetry pipeline.

Currently on a client-confidential engagement: Java Spring Boot microservices, React, GraphQL and Terraform.

Based in Beirut (UTC+3), which gives a full working day overlapping Europe and the Gulf, and mornings with US Eastern. Available for project-based contract work, 20 to 25 hours a week.
