What I'm looking for
I am a senior lecturer and epidemiologist with a PhD and extensive experience in clinical research, public health practice, and teaching at Kamuzu University of Health Sciences and the University of Malawi. I have led and co‑investigated multiple studies on severe paediatric illness, hypoglycaemia management and malaria diagnostics, supervised MSc and PhD candidates, and contributed to curriculum development for epidemiology training.
My work combines frontline clinical experience as a district health officer and medical officer with rigorous research and academic leadership, including postdoctoral research at the Malaria Alert Centre and course directorship for MSc Epidemiology. I aim to translate research into improved clinical guidelines and public health programmes that reduce child mortality and strengthen health systems.
