At the Ministry of ICT, Somaliland, I assisted with computer and printer problems, supported administration of the government portal website, govsomaliland.org, and explained technical issues and practical steps to users.
As a Computer Science Teacher at Tisqaad College, I explained information and technical concepts clearly and adapted my explanations to students’ needs. I also assisted members of the public during voter registration, card collection, and voting activities as Election Support Staff for the National Electoral Commission of Somaliland (NEC).
I’m fluent in Somali and have excellent English skills across speaking, writing, listening, and reading. I’m seeking an entry-level remote Somali–English OPI/VRI interpreter opportunity and am willing to complete the employer’s professional training; I don’t claim formal telephone or video interpreting experience.
