At Agrigenomics Hub, I work with environmental DNA and genomics workflows, with a focus on lichen genomics for my Master’s thesis research. I extract DNA from diverse biological samples and isolate RNA from fungal and fish tissues.
I prepare amplicon, Whole Genome Sequencing, and Whole Transcriptome Sequencing libraries for Illumina sequencing. I also use PCR and qPCR, and conduct Sanger sequencing with the Applied Biosystems SeqStudio Genetic Analyzer.
At Waldminghaus Laboratory, I worked on developing and optimizing NT-CRISPR, combining V. natriegens natural transformation with CRISPR-Cas9 counterselection. My work included plasmid and gDNA isolation, primer design, cPCR, and bacterial transformation.
At Kayıhan Laboratory, I investigated LOX3 and protein degradation in Arabidopsis thaliana, working with seed sterilization, plant subculture, Western Blot, and Bradford methods. I’m pursuing an MSc in Biotechnology at Ankara University.
