Ernesto Espinosa
@ernestoespinosa
I build and secure mission-critical Linux, Kubernetes, and automation platforms for high-availability operations.
What I'm looking for
At By Light, I operate secure Linux, VMware, PostgreSQL, and Kubernetes infrastructure for U.S. Space Force launch range applications, where availability and integrity affect launch go/no-go decisions. I built an Ansible/AAP certificate lifecycle pipeline that replaced manually managed certificates with self-renewing credentials and reduced recurring outage risk.
Previously at AT&T and UC Santa Barbara, I supported high-scale telemetry, analytics, and research platforms—from 15M+ cellular devices and 8–10 TB of daily data to a JupyterHub environment scaled from 70 to 3,400+ users. I bring 10+ years of Linux operations, Python and Bash automation, infrastructure-as-code, incident response, storage, and enterprise virtualization experience to reliable, auditable deployments.
