Dmytro Skopienkov
@dmytroskopienkov
Compliance & Risk Specialist improving safeguarding, accountability, and donor-ready compliance frameworks across complex NGO programs.
What I'm looking for
I’m a results-driven Compliance and Risk Specialist with 7+ years of experience designing, implementing, and auditing compliance frameworks across complex multi-stakeholder environments. I focus on practical outcomes—policy development, risk assessment, organisational audits, corrective action planning, and training that strengthens accountability.
I’ve worked to the standards of major international donors and regulatory frameworks, including UN, ECHO, USAID, DANIDA, SIDA, and GFFO. My background spans investigations, grievance mechanisms, data protection and confidentiality, and cross-functional collaboration with HR, legal, operations, and programme teams.
In recent roles, I led compliance systems strengthening across 20+ partner organisations and ensured adherence to multi-donor requirements. I designed and delivered compliance and ethics training for 1,200+ staff, conducted risk assessments across field offices, managed corrective action planning, and integrated compliance requirements into programme design and partner agreements.
Earlier experience strengthened my operational and protective focus: delivering compliance support within digital public services, and providing structured case management for child protection and GBV with an emphasis on ethical handling and data protection. I bring a learning-oriented approach through instructor-led training and ongoing professional development, including the Wharton “Effective Compliance Programs” certification track.
