What I'm looking for

I seek a role that allows me to support diverse learners and foster inclusive educational environments.

With over 20 years of experience in education, I have had the privilege of working at every grade level from birth through undergraduate studies. My passion lies in special programs, and I believe that my diverse experiences across various educational stages have equipped me with a unique perspective and skill set. I have taught at multiple levels, including after-school programs, kindergarten, and undergraduate courses, and I currently serve as a school psychologist.

In my current role at Gregg County SSA, I select and administer assessments to evaluate students' intellectual, emotional, and behavioral functioning. I am responsible for determining eligibility for special education services and developing comprehensive psychological evaluation reports. My commitment to student success extends beyond assessments; I actively participate in ARD committees, develop behavior intervention plans, and provide counseling to students. I also lead staff development training to empower educators in effectively supporting students with emotional and behavioral challenges.

Throughout my career, I have embraced the joys and challenges of working with students of all ages. I am dedicated to fostering positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues, and I maintain a high level of confidentiality in all matters. As I continue to grow in my profession, I remain committed to lifelong learning and contributing positively to the educational community.
