What I'm looking for

I’m looking for a mission-driven role where I can provide compassionate patient support and reliable coordination—using my hospice care, VA scheduling/consult workflow experience, and calm crisis-response ability to help teams deliver quality care.

I’m a compassionate caregiver and medical support professional who delivers hands-on hospice support while keeping patients, families, and care teams moving forward. In hospice care, I provided dressing, cooking, laundry, medication management, wound care, stoma care, bathing, and transportation for errands and medical appointments—along with taking vitals when ordered. I also bring a strong liaison mindset, helping people navigate processes and eligibility rules with clarity and empathy.

Over many years, I’ve supported high-call-volume healthcare operations and patient access—especially within the Department of Veterans Affairs. As an Advanced Medical Support Assistant, I managed incoming calls and secure messages, scheduled initial appointments, processed consults through their lifecycle, and coordinated pharmacy consults including refills, overnight shipping, and STAT orders. I handled crisis communications, copied patient information when possible, sent secure messages to crisis resources, trained new employees, and actively supported complex clinic scheduling, chart reviews, and patient progress updates through chart notes. Earlier, I also built operational discipline through my legal and U.S. Army experience, including overseeing firm operations and leading a howitzer team with awards for safety and performance.
