What I'm looking for

I’m looking for a role where I can deliver patient-centered psychiatric care while continuing to educate future nurses. I want collaborative teams, opportunities to expand evidence-based mental health practice, and impact in underserved communities.

I’m a doctorally prepared Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) with dual specialization in Nursing Education/Administration and Psychiatric Mental Health. With over 20 years of progressive clinical and academic experience, I’m known for patient-centered care, mental health advocacy, and strong interdisciplinary collaboration.

In my Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner role at Weems Community Mental Health Center, I diagnosed and managed complex psychiatric conditions across the lifespan. I provided medication management and integrated behavioral health support, and I designed personalized treatment plans for underserved community settings through collaborative outpatient care.

As an Associate Degree Nursing Instructor at Meridian Community College, I educate and mentor 2nd to 4th semester ADN students across didactic and clinical settings. I’ve developed and delivered content for an “Nursing Enhancement” online course, provided individualized student remediation and academic support, and contributed through multiple institutional committees and student-centered initiatives.

I also serve as an Assistant Professor (Online) at the University of Mississippi Medical Center, instructing graduate nursing students in psychiatric mental health and research (including Practicum in Clinical Management, Research Design, and Discipline of Nursing). Earlier, I strengthened my foundation through staff and charge nursing roles, adjunct clinical faculty work, and ongoing leadership in professional and program committees—always grounded in education that improves real-world patient outcomes.
